Fellow Sons, AMVETS Family, and Friends,

Florida Sons of AMVETS continue DIRECT-to-VET assistance through their Veteran Mobility Assistance Program (VMAP). This recent presentation was spearheaded through Sons of AMVETS Squadron 113 in Bunnell Florida.

Since 1998, the highly regarded National Sons of AMVETS have STORMED THE HILL and carried the AMVETS Legislative Priorities to each member of Congress in support of legislation that promotes and provides positive benefits to our nation’s Veterans.

Fellow Sons, AMVETS family, and friends,

Greetings all Sons, AMVETS family members, and friends,

National Son of AMVETS continued tradition by completing the Freedom Cash Raffle for 2020. We are pleased to announce the following winners. Your prize is on the way.

Grand Prize - $2,500.00 - SOA Squadron 447 - Inglis, Florida

Fellow Sons,

Official implementation of online membership has started.

Fellow Sons, AMVETS family members, and friends, Independence Day remains an important national holiday and a symbol of patriotism. Many historians agree that the Declaration of Independence included 3 major ideas: All people have certain inalienable Rights including Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. All men are created equal.

Fellow Sons, This is to remind all that our Project Reporting year ends June 30th and we need your help. During the next 7 days please review your Squadron activity and submit any report.

Commander Mick's Project - Gary Sinise Foundation

Fellow Sons, AMVETS Family, and Friends,

During our 40th Anniversary year I have selected the Gary Sinise Foundation (GSF) as my project. The Gary Sinise Foundation serves our nation by honoring our defenders, our veterans, our first responders, our country’s heroes, and their families, and those in need.

They accomplish their mission by creating and supporting unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen, and build communities. Their R.I.S.E. program (Restoring Independence Supporting Empowerment), builds specially adapted smart homes for our most severely wounded heroes. They also provide home modifications, mobility devices, and adapted vehicles to our injured, wounded, ill, and/or aging heroes.

Another GSF program is Soaring Valor. You may find it interesting that fewer than 500,00 World War II Veterans are still with us. Through Soaring Valor, World War II veterans and their guardians are brought to New Orleans to tour The National WWII Museum built in their honor. Their experience includes entertainment, celebratory meals, and community building with their fellow heroes. Students who accompany our veterans continue their stories with a new appreciation for the sacrifices made by an entire generation, the Greatest Generation. As a Son of a World War II Marine, it is imperative that we make every attempt to honor those Veterans.

The GSF Snowball Express, serves the children and surviving spouse of fallen military heroes. GSF is committed to programming and support that holds space to honor their fallen heroes while also helping create new memories as they move forward. Since 2018, 11639 children of fallen military heroes & their surviving parent/guardian joined us for Snowball Express.

Thank you in advance for your consideration and support.

Sincerely,

Michael ‘Mick’ Ciesla - Commander

National Sons of AMVETS
