It all happened late in October while Terry Justinger was in Hospice care center Just a couple miles North of Defiance Ohio. I went to see Terry about every day he was there. He sat me down one day with his twin brother Jerry and his Daughter present. He told me he wanted to do something special for our Veterans on their day 11/11/11. He had his Daughter write the Sons of AMVETS Squadron 1991 Defiance Ohio a check for $500.00 from his personal checking account. He asked me and the Sons of AMVETS Squadron 1991 to do his last wish for him. He wanted us to put on a free Breakfast for all the Veterans and their wives to start their day off. He also instructed me to get a red Honda Scooter from his garage and raffle it off at Post 1991. That raffle raised over $3,400. And per his instructions, half went to AMVETS Post 1991 and the other half went to hospice. Unfortunately, he did not make it long enough to see any of his dreams come true. He passed on 10/24/09 from lung cancer.

Terry was the Squadron 1991 Adjutant for many years and very supportive of the American Veterans in every way. He was happy raising money for the Squadron so they could support the American Veteran in all ways. He always had a helping hand for anyone in need. Sons of AMVETS Squadron 1991 Defiance Ohio has continued to do the free Breakfast on Veterans Day in the Name of Terry Justinger for the past 5 years. This year will be the 5th Anniversary of the Veterans Day Breakfast. Sons of AMVETS National Commander Dan Briggs has excused me from my every year travel with National Sons of AMVETS to Arlington Cemetery for Veterans, to help what was started 5 years ago. Thanks Commander for letting me help the Veterans on their Day.
