I would like to share with the membership some highlights of an E-board meeting that was held at Camp Hope in Missouri. Past National Commander John Barnhill's project was to raise money for their continuous construction effort. Commander Finnegan arranged it so that the Sons could be presented at the dedication of a cabin dedicated in memory of Shawn Clemens, son of Bill Clemens PDC from New York. Bill, his wife Candy, and grandson Gavin were in attendance.

The all volunteer staff at Camp Hope is an amazing group. They sincerely care about what they do and it shows in everything from the landscaping to the decorating. One common theme that I heard from the volunteers was the impact that the Veterans have made on them.

Saturday morning after breakfast we held our E-Board meeting in the Recreation Room on the lower level of the main lodge. Lunch was served shortly afterwards and then we walked across the road to the cabin for the Official Ceremony. The Volunteers once again did a great job organizing and performing the service.

We have all seen the signs ENTER AS A GUEST LEAVE AS A FRIEND well I personally felt that way when I left. I would encourage anyone thinking of a worthwhile project to consider Camp Hope.
