Commander's CALL to ACTION

FLOODING

More than 2 feet of rain has led to record flooding in Louisiana, submerging homes, businesses, and vehicles underwater. AMVETS Post 68 in Springfield, LA is the focal point for residents of Livingston Parish to go for benefits from the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services' Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program

AMVETS, Sons of AMVETS, and AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary 68 at Post 68 in Springfield are putting their personal struggles aside and working tirelessly to lead the way in supporting those community members in need as a result of the recent flooding. One of the many Sons of AMVETS impacted by the flooding was the 1st Vice Commander of Squadron 68. As John Hano was losing his home, he was helping save the home and belongings of his neighbor. This is just one of the many stories coming out of Livingston Parish.

More assistance is urgently needed! Please join National Sons of AMVETS by making a donation to AMVETS Squadron 68 at PO BOX 1064, Springfield, LA 70468

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

In Fellowship and Service,

David T. Strittmather
