Commanders Christmas Message

As we approach Christmas 2016 I am reminded that the meaning of this day is held in our hearts and shared with family and friends. On behalf of the over 22,000 Sons of AMVETS nationwide I would like to extend Merry Christmas to everyone in the AMVETS family and all our friends. As you gather with loved ones, may you experience this Christmas with the eyes of a child and feel the wonder of love and joy the season has to offer.

To my fellow Sons your efforts during this time of year have been laudable. The Christmas Parties at the many veteran living centers across the country exemplify our mission of “Sons Serving Veterans”. By delivering the Christmas Spirit to the heroes of our nation you reinforce our organizational commitment to all Veterans. We are grateful for their service so the great gift of freedom is enjoyed today and can be passed on to future generations. 

For the men and women in active duty, may the glorious Christmas message of peace and love fill your hearts. May God provide you a personal Christmas Star to guide you safely home and into the warm embrace of your family.
