Timothy J. "Tim " Tuttle

February 19, 1945 - March 23, 2018

MUNCIE- Timothy “Tim” J. Tuttle, 73, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018 at I.U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

He was born on February 19, 1945 in Muncie, the son of Willard and Margaret (Boden) Tuttle.

Tim graduated from Royerton High School. After high school he joined the United States Army, where he proudly served his country. He married Deborah A. Bohde on June 23, 1974 in Muncie.

Tim worked as a mechanic most of his life, he also worked as a reserve police officer in Muncie from 1974 until 1992. He was a dedicated member to the AMVETS for forty-five years a Veterans Organization. After retirement his greatest passion was helping veterans. He also enjoyed volunteering at the AMVETS and American Red Cross. In 2012 Tim received the National Sons of AMVETS highest honor, the Aid & Support Award which was presented at the AMVETS Silver Helmet Awards in Virginia.

Survivors include his wife of forty- four years, Deborah; five children, Clyde (Cindy) Plank, John (Carla), Kevin (Peggy), Mike (Amy), and Cheryl; nine grandchildren, Alisha (Kyle), Chad (Ashley), Danielle, Jordan (Jillian), Brittni, Josh (Ashley), Susie Jo, May Margaret, and CJ; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Steve (Judy); and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel. Burial will follow in Hawk Cemetery located at 4209 N. County Rd 700 West, Yorktown, IN.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, march 28, 2018 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel or one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
