COMMANDER THIBODEAU'S EASTER MESSAGE

Fellow Sons, AMVETS family members, and friends,

Amid the Covid-19, our daily activities have been impacted in ways that were unthinkable just a few weeks ago. Stay at home orders, travel restrictions, social distancing, and other limitations are temporary new standards. Although we are relinquishing individual conveniences, I am confident this challenge will be met by our collective efforts supporting the common good for our communities and our country.

It seems appropriate that the most important Christian holiday, Easter, is being celebrated Sunday. This is a time for reflection. The miracle of Easter offers peace, hope, and the opportunity for renewal. Renewal of SPIRIT. Renewal of DUTY. Renewal of COMMITMENT.

As we acknowledge the ultimate heavenly sacrifice for humanity, let us join in prayer to be grateful for all we have and …”dedicate ourselves to the cause of mutual assistance … this by the Grace of God”.
